Wastewater whether from your sink, toilet, domestic appliances or commercial equipment inevitably will end up at a wastewater treatment plant (sewage treatment works).

If you own a treatment plant on your premises then it is your responsibility to ensure the plant is maintained and  operated to a standard that ensures you meet the requirements that may be set by the Environment agency. This would be in the form of a OUTFALL CONSENT. You will also be required to keep records of all servicing and outfall samples. Failure to do this may result in Large fines and court action.
